The best candidates who have been offered to further their studies full-time at Universiti Teknologi MARA are invited to apply for the UiTM Endowment Scholarship.

Is not a recipient of any scholarship or financial assistance from any organisation (except for zakat, dermasiswa, gift, or any other one-off type of scholarship).

Should receive exemption/postponement of service contract or loan repayment from previous sponsors for studies undertaken prior to applying for this scholarship.

Is not working and does not have a fixed income (UiTM clinical students are excluded).

Has no criminal record.

Is not in serious debt or is bankrupt.

Has not been blacklisted by any government agency (Malaysia / international).
Special Requirements for the PwD (OKU) Category
- PwD students who continue their studies at higher education institutions and receive the privilege of PwD Financial Assistance (BKOKU) under the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), are eligible to apply for the UiTM Endowment scholarship.
- Students must be holders of the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) OKU Card or, if they are newly disabled, must submit a full medical report. Thereafter, it is necessary to submit an application for a JKM OKU card.
- Students need be registered with the UiTM OKU Service Unit.
Scholarship Period
- Bachelor’s Degree:
The maximum duration of sponsorship is between three (3) to five (5) years, depending on the recipient’s programme. The duration of this scholarship is calculated from the date of the scholarship offer letter or until graduation, whichever is earlier. - Master’s Degree (Course Work Mode – Special for PwD):
The maximum duration of sponsorship is two (2) years, depending on the program’s study plan. The duration of this sponsorship is calculated from the date of the scholarship offer letter or until graduation, whichever is earlier. - Master's Degree (Research Mode):
The maximum duration of sponsorship is two (2) years, depending on the program's study plan. The duration of this sponsorship is calculated from the date of the scholarship offer letter or until graduation, whichever is earlier. - PhD’s Degree (Research Mode):
The maximum duration of sponsorship is three (3) years, depending on the program's study plan. The duration of this sponsorship is calculated from the date of the scholarship offer letter or until graduation, whichever is earlier.
Note:
Scholarship recipients must complete their studies within the maximum period of this predetermined sponsorship. Any extension of the student’s study period is under their own responsibility.
Additional terms and conditions for Bachelor's Degree
Scholarship value:
RM3,500 / semester
Academic qualification:
1. Passed the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a CGPA of ≥ 3.5 OR ≥ 3.0 for PwD student; OR
2. KPM Matriculation or Foundation Programme from government university with a CGPA of ≥ 3.8; OR ≥ 3.0 for PwD student; OR
3. Passed certified Diploma with a CGPA of ≥ 3.75 OR ≥ 3.00 for PwD students and complete within the stipulated duration.
Other terms:
1. Applicants have received a full offer letter for admission to the first year of study at UiTM for full-time mode.
a. Preference is given to first semester students.
b. For students who are in the second semester and above, they can be considered if they have obtained a CGPA of 3.50 and above.
2. Applicants must be no older than 23 years old, OR 30 years old for PwD students, OR 45 years old for administrative staff.
3. Passes the interview.
4. Has never been subjected to any sponsorship termination during his/her studies at any level due to disciplinary action or in violation of national laws.
5. An applicant who is still in the service should show proof of unpaid study leave or written resignation from employer.
6. Successful candidates are subject to the terms and conditions of UiTM Endowment scholarship.
Additional terms and conditions for Master's Degree
Scholarship Value:
- Local (Research Mode)
RM9,000 / semester
- Local (Course work Mode) for PwD student only
RM7,500 / semester
Academic qualification:
1. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study from a university that is recognized by the Malaysian government with a CGPA of;
- ≥ 3.50 (local) OR 3.00 for PwD students
- or first class for the previous studies; AND
2. Support from the faculty on applicants’ initial research proposal that meet the quality standards set by the university.
Other terms:
1. Applicants (Research Mode) have received a full offer letter for admission to the first year of study at UiTM for full-time mode.
a. Preference is given to first OR second semester students.
b. For students who are in the third semester and above, it can be considered if they have met the monitoring requirements.
2. Applicants (Course work Mode - Special for PwD student) have received a full offer letter for admission to the first year of study at UiTM for full-time Mode.
a. Preference is given to first semester students.
b. For students who are in the second semester and above, it can be considered if they have obtained a CGPA of 3.00 and above.
3. Does not exceed 35 years old; OR for PwD student, does not exceed 40 years old.
4. Passes the interview.
5. Has never been subjected to any sponsorship termination during his/her studies at any level due to disciplinary action or in violation of national laws.
6. An applicant who is still in the service should show proof of unpaid study leave or written resignation from employer.
7. Successful candidates are subject to the terms and conditions of UiTM Endowment fund scholarship.
Additional terms and conditions for PhD's Degree
Scholarship Value:
- Local (Research Mode)
RM12,000 / semester
Academic qualification:
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree (course work mode) or equivalent in a relevant field of study from a university that is recognized by the Malaysian government with a CGPA of 3.50 OR 3.00 and above for PwD students; OR
- Pass a master's degree (research mode) with a record of publication (at least one publication results in an indexed journal (Scopus / WoS) within the last 5 years; AND
- Obtain support from the faculty on the applicant's initial research proposal.
Fast Track Special Route (Bachelor’s Degree to PhD’s Degree):
- First class bachelor's degree in a relevant field from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the UiTM Senate; OR
- Have a CGPA of 3.67 or equivalent from an Academic Programme or Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programme (TVET); AND
- Obtain support from the faculty on the applicant's initial research proposal.
Special Requirements for Upgrading (Master’s Degree (research mode) to PhD’s Degree (research mode))
The master’s degree level (research mode) of UiTM Endowment Scholarship holders may be considered to upgrade to a PhD’s degree level (research mode) scholarship provided that:
- Have obtained approval from the University's Academic Evaluation Main Committee (JKIPA);
- Get a recommendation from the Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Approved by the Endowment Scholarship Committee (JBE).
- Certified by the Endowment Fund Trustees Committee (JPATE)

1. Applicant has received a full offer letter for admission to the first year of study at UiTM for full-time mode.
a. Preference is given to the student in the first OR second semester.
b. For students who are in the third semester and above, it can be considered if they have met the monitoring requirements.
2. Does not exceed 40 years old; OR for PwD student, does not exceed 45 years old.
3. Open to applicants for research mode only (for PwD), open for all studies mode).

Monitoring Mechanism
1. A Bachelor’s degree scholarship recipient is monitored based on every semester’s final exam results. Recipients need to acquire ≥ 3.5 CGPA to retain the scholarship (for PwD) student, ≥ 3.0 CGPA).
2. A Master’s or Doctoral recipient is monitored every six (6) months (semester) whereby he/she is required to present his/her progress report to an appointed scholarship committee member (for PWD) student, ≥ 3.0 CGPA for master by coursework).
3. Recipient’s progress and achievement should include the following and is dependent on the study phase:
- Research work progress
- Research publication results
- Innovation results.

1. What is the UiTM Endowment Scholarship?
The UiTM Endowment Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship sponsored by the UiTM Endowment Fund. It is designed to support UiTM students enrolled in full-time programmes. It aims to assist academically outstanding students in contributing to national academic development.
2. When is the application period?
Kindly refer to the advertisement, which will be disseminated through social media platforms, the official UiTM email, and the Endowment Unit
3. How do I apply?
Applications must be submitted online via the Endowment Seamless and Unified Registry (ENSURE) system.
4. Where can I find information about the Endowment Scholarship?
Applicants may visit the endowment scholarship website for more information about the scholarship. The system link and further information will be announced on the official UiTM Endowment website and its official social media channels.

5. Who is eligible to apply?
Only Malaysian citizens enrolled as full-time students at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) are eligible to apply for the Endowment Scholarship at the following levels: Bachelor, Master (Research), Master (Coursework-OKU), and PhD (Research).
6. I am currently receiving a loan or sponsorship (e.g., PTPTN / private / other government agencies). Can I still apply?
YES. However, recipients are only allowed to hold one scholarship or financial aid during the period of study. If successful, you must officially withdraw from the existing sponsorship or loan.
7. I am a person with disabilities (OKU). Am I eligible to apply?
YES, we have a special track for the Bachelor and Master (Coursework) programmes. However, if you are Master (Research) and PhD (Research) students, you can still apply for the scholarship. The process of selection depends on the merits.
Applicants must possess a valid Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) OKU Card and be registered with the Bahagian Perkhidmatan dan Pembangunan OKU UiTM (U-DServeD).

10. Is there a fast-track route to PhD?
YES. There are a few entry requirements for the fast-track route, as follows:
First-class bachelor's degree in a relevant field from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the UiTM Senate; OR
Have a CGPA of 3.67 or equivalent from an academic programme or Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programme (TVET); AND
Obtain support from the faculty on the applicant's initial research proposal.
11. How should I upload supporting documents?
All supporting documents must be uploaded individually in one of the following formats: jpeg / png / jpg / pdf.
12. What is the maximum file size for uploads?
Each document must not exceed 2 MB in size.
13. What supporting documents are required?
Applicants must submit a full admission offer letter from UiTM, along with their latest academic transcript. For those applying to master (Research) or PhD (Research) programmes, a detailed research proposal is required, with support obtained from the respective faculty (e.g. signature and stamp from main supervisor).
Additionally, applicants must provide a copy of their Identity Card (MyKad), and if applicable, a valid JKM OKU card for Persons with Disabilities.
14. Is an interview required?
YES. All shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview session.
15. What are the responsibilities of scholarship recipients?
Recipients are required to maintain a minimum academic performance with a CGPA of at least 3.50, or 3.00 for students with disabilities (OKU). For master (research) and PhD (research), periodic research progress reports must be submitted as required.
In addition, students may be required to participate in student development activities organized by UiTM. All recipients must also comply fully with the rules and regulations set by the university throughout the duration of their studies.
16. Can I apply after the deadline?
Applications are only accepted through the ENSURE system during the official application period. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Eligible applicants are encouraged to reapply in the next available session.
